Horse Hair

In Rari (Colbún, Maule Region) the technique of weaving in horsehair, is transmitted from generation to generation, as well as most of the artisan techniques present in our country. One of the most popular legends is that this craft was born from a derivation of wicker braiding, but made with roots and corn stalks, which were called huiras. More or less from the 30's, began to use colored dyed horsehair to be more striking and give life to the figurines.
